Terms & Conditions

Turbovine (“the Service”), available at turbovine.com, is operated by Turbovine Inc. (“Turbovine”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Turbovine helps people learn English by watching original drama series. Episodes are made up of short clips, each followed by questions and activities, with explanations of words and phrases from English coaches. Some features, such as captions or coach explanations, may not be available for every episode.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Only an adult may purchase a subscription.

You can watch free episodes without an account. Some features require one. When you create an account, you agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. An account is for one person and must not be shared.

New episodes are released on a schedule, currently each Sunday at 5pm New York time. Released episodes in the free schedule can be watched at no charge. Release dates and times are a guide only: we may move, delay, or change them, and we may change which episodes or features are free.

We may offer a paid subscription that gives access to episodes before they are released in the free schedule, along with other benefits we describe at the time of purchase. If you buy a subscription:

• Price. The price, currency, billing period, and any applicable taxes will be shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your full card details.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you will be charged the then-current price using your saved payment method, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Where required by law, we will remind you before a renewal.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not give refunds or credits for partly used periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days.
• Price changes. We may change the subscription price. A new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you in advance so you can cancel if you do not wish to continue.

The Service features English coaches who explain words and phrases from the episodes. Coaches are independent and are not employees of Turbovine. Some coach explanations are produced by Turbovine using artificial-intelligence tools in the coach's voice and likeness, with that coach's permission and approval.

If you arrive through a coach's link, we may remember that coach so their explanations appear for you and so the coach can be credited, which may include a share of any subscription you buy. This does not change the price you pay.

Coach explanations are for learning purposes and reflect each coach's own teaching. Coaches who join our coach program are also bound by a separate coach agreement.

The Service is an educational and entertainment product. It is not an accredited course and does not lead to a qualification or certificate. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, test score, or level of English.

You agree to use the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You must not:

• download, record, copy, re-upload, or distribute episodes, clips, images, or coach explanations, except where we provide a feature for sharing;
• get around the release schedule, access controls, or any other limit on the Service;
• use bots, scrapers, or other automated means to access the Service;
• reverse engineer the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to other users' accounts;
• share your account or subscription with others;
• use the Service in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or that disrupts it for others.

All content and features of the Service — including the series, episodes, characters, stories, clips, images, audio, captions, questions, coach explanations, logos, and software — belong to Turbovine Inc. or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to watch and use the Service for your own learning, in line with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you agree that we may use them without any obligation or payment to you.

The Service relies on third-party providers, for example for hosting, video delivery, email, and payment processing. Their services are subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party websites or services that the Service links to.

We are always improving the Service and may add, change, or remove episodes, series, coaches, or features at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular content will remain available. If we discontinue a paid subscription, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a pro-rated refund for the unused part of the period you paid for.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that may harm us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every country or on every device.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Turbovine Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim and CAD $100.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Turbovine Inc. and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country or region where you live that cannot be waived by contract.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Service is offered worldwide, and you are responsible for complying with the laws where you live. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in full force. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms shown at the time of purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Turbovine about the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page with a revised date. If a change is significant, we will also tell account holders by email or on the Service before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the revised Terms.
